HealthFitness has a great opportunity for a part-time Recreation Specialist at the new Walton Family Whole Health & Fitness facility in Bentonville. Recreation Specialist, Bentonville, AR 24 hours per week working 3 evenings & 1 weekend day Our team loves to play! As a Recreation Specialist, you will organize and deliver in-person and virtual reality recreation activities and sporting events to children and adults. You'll help with tournaments, events, leagues, and teambuilding activities and assist at the recreation desk. Other duties as needed/assigned. Schedule options: Wednesday-Friday 3-9PM & Saturday 9AM-3PM Sunday 9AM-3PM & Monday - Wednesday 3-9PM Role Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older with a High School Diploma or GED. Adult/Child/Infant CPR/AED/First Aid certification (obtained in person or hybrid) from American Red Cross, American Heart Association or American Safety & Health Institute required by first day of employment. Professional appearance and attitude and prior experience in recreation or managing sports leagues/tournaments. Timeliness to start/complete events on schedule. Ability to work independently and as a team while running events and during setup & breakdown. Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others. Basic computer skills in Microsoft office and the ability to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems. Working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools. Ensure students/players adhere to HF safety guidelines and demonstrate good sportsmanship. Ideal applicants have prior experience stringing/restringing racquets and/or a Sports Official/Referee certification.
